I was feeling ill with man flu, full of self loathing and needed a swift kick in the nuts (metaphorically speaking) to get me back to my normal charismatic, optimistic bouncy old chipper self.
I was finding this difficult until I read 10 THINGS I LEARNT FROM RICHARD BRANSON. This was a blog post written by James Altucher (I recommend his podcast, it's a fast paced witty show of which James Altucher talks with highly successful persons about their journey through business, entrepreneurship and life. He's a pretty interesting and successful guy in his own right too but maybe that's for another blog post).
Ready. Fire. Aim. These three words are what changed my mood and actually made me start writing. The blog spoke of how Richard Branson would start something, then see how close to the target he had gotten, if he was way off he hadn't lost anything he simply fires again and keeps firing until he gets closer to his goal. It was what I needed to start this blog. I have wanted to start writing for a while but didn't know what to write about, how to write it or if it would be any good but now I don't care. I'm ready and I'm firing and if I miss the target I can adapt. The most important thing is just to get started so welcome to my blog. I hope it to be entertaining, informative and just maybe the kick in the nuts (again, metaphorically speaking) that you might need to start something new. You really have nothing to lose.
